Boston Red Sox center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. extended his hitting streak to 28 games with a double in the second inning against the Colorado Rockies on Tuesday.
The streak brings Bradley to the halfway mark of New York Yankees legend Joe DiMaggio's historic run of 56 consecutive games with a hit. It also puts him well within striking distance of the franchise record of 34, set by DiMaggio's brother Dom in 1949.
