Angel Pagan is set for another spell on the sidelines as the San Francisco Giants placed the left fielder on the disabled list Tuesday with a strained left hamstring.
In a corresponding roster move, the Giants called up Jarrett Parker from Triple-A Sacramento.
It's the same hamstring that ruled Pagan out for nearly two weeks at the beginning of May, though the club didn't place the outfielder on the disabled list then. Pagan then re-aggravated the injury Monday against the San Diego Padres as he ran to first base on a groundout in the eighth inning.
The 34-year-old is slashing .275/.338/.383, swiping five bases in 35 games this season.
