The Boston Red Sox have placed Jackie Bradley Jr. on the paternity list and recalled outfielder Rusney Castillo from Triple-A Pawtucket, the club announced.
This will be Castillo's first big-league action since April 9, the only major-league game he's appeared in this season.
After playing in 80 games last year, Castillo batted .253/.288/.359 with five home runs and 54 strikeouts.
He's signed for a deal worth $72.5 million over seven years.
