Fan hurdles fence chasing foul ball, drops it twice

Somebody's got a case of the butterfingers.

This unlucky White Sox fan flew over the railing and onto the field while chasing a foul ball Saturday - spoiler alert: he missed it - and had to be pulled to safety by his fellow fans.

Melky Cabrera saw the whole thing in left field, and felt so bad that he was compelled to toss the baseball to the fan - who promptly dropped it again.

"The fence creeped up on me," said the unidentified fan, when asked how he ended up doing a handstand on the warning track in the first place.

Fortunately, the whole sequence had a happy ending. Cabrera jogged over from his position and flipped the baseball to the fan one more time. This time, he made sure to hold on.
