Mets' Bartolo Colon: Suffers loss in pitching mismatch
Colon (3-2) gave up five runs on seven hits over five innings in a shutout loss to the Dodgers on Thursday.
Analysis:
He had the misfortune of being matched up against Clayton Kershaw, who tossed a three-hit shutout on the other end, but it didn't exactly take a masterful performance to beat Colon in this one. Of course, he was about due for a dud, as Colon hadn't allowed more than three runs in any of his first six starts this season; the guy's good fortune can't last forever. He'll draw a tough one in his next start, which will come against the Nationals on Wednesday.
