White Sox closer Robertson returns from bereavement list
BALTIMORE (AP) Chicago White Sox closer David Robertson has been reinstated from the bereavement list after a three-day absence.
Robertson left the team Thursday following the death of his father-in-law.
The right-hander, who hasn't pitched since Wednesday, was available for Sunday's series finale against the Baltimore Orioles.
White Sox manager Robin Ventura said, ''He'll be in there if we have a lead.''
Robertson has eight saves and a 0.87 ERA in 10 appearances for the first-place White Sox.
To make room for Robertson, the White Sox optioned right-hander Tommy Kahnle to Triple-A Charlotte.
