Gomez snaps bat over knee after striking out

Carlos Gomez will tip his cap when he's been beat, but he won't do it to Henry Owens after giving up two walks, two hits, and two runs in an inning.
During the Houston Astros' big third inning against the Boston Red Sox, Gomez struck out on a meaty changeup, and responded by snapping the bat clean over his knee in anger.
His frustration, though, likely comes from more than just one missed pitch. Entering Sunday's game, he was batting .197/.222/.262 with just two stolen bases and no home runs.
