The New Orleans Zephyrs are putting their rebrand in the hands of their fans.
The club announced Friday that, beginning in 2017, the Zephyrs will officially cease to be as fans decide on a new nickname for the Miami Marlins' Triple-A affiliate.
Supporters are being asked to submit and vote on suggestions on the team's website beginning April 25 to May 6, but judging from early Twitter submissions, the plan may be off to a rough start:
