 These teams wrap up the season with a four-game series, with Colorado having won four of six meetings this season. The Rockies have scored 6.5 runs per game against the Diamondbacks this season, their highest against any single opponent.

 The Diamondbacks swept a two-game set against the Rangers earlier this week. Arizona is 11-9 (.550) against the AL West this season and is 11-25 (.306) in its own division.

 The Rockies split a four-game series in San Francisco this week, falling to seven games under .500 before Thursday's win. Colorado started the season 11-3, the best record in baseball on Aug. 8. Since Aug. 9, however, the Rockies are 14-28, the worst record in the National League.

 Christian Walker finished August slashing .299/.350/.496, but since the calendar turned to September, Walker is batting .230. Walker's career .212 batting average in September is tied for his lowest in any month of the season (May).

 Charlie Blackmon is slashing .395/.434/.539 this season against left-handed pitching. Blackmon is on pace for the best batting average by a lefty against left-handed pitching since Ichiro Suzuki in 2004 (.404, min. 75 PA vs. LHP).

 Carson Kelly had three hits and five RBI in Arizona's two victories over the Rangers this week. Kelly is batting just .162 with no one on base this season, compared to .345 with a runner in scoring position.

Rockies, Diamondbacks ready to finish out disappointing season

PHOENIX (AP)  Madison Bumgarner pitched five scoreless innings to win his first game for Arizona in his ninth and final start this season, and the Diamondbacks beat the Colorado Rockies 11-3 on Sunday to close disappointing years for both teams.
Bumgarner (1-4), a former World Series MVP for San Francisco, left the Giants as a free agent for an $85 million, five-year contract to pitch in the desert. The 31-year-old left-hander never got untracked, plagued by inconsistency and a monthlong stint on the injured list with a mid-back strain.
