 The Braves swept a three-game series between these teams in Boston from August 31-September 2 -- they had just three wins against the Red Sox in their previous 13 games. Three in a row marks their longest winning streak against Boston since a four-game streak from 2002-2004.

 The Red Sox lost to the Orioles, 13-1, at home on Thursday after taking the first two games of the series by a combined 17-4. The 12-run loss was Boston's worst since a 16-3 loss against the Orioles on August 25, 2017.

 Chris Mazza allowed four runs (two earned) against the Yankees in his last start on Saturday, striking out just one in 4.0 innings. Mazza made his MLB debut against Atlanta last season as a member of the Mets, allowing one run in 4.0 innings of relief on June 29, 2019.

 The Braves were unable to complete a four-game sweep of the Marlins on Thursday, losing 4-2 in the finale, but they outscored Miami 27-13 over the four games. The Braves are averaging 7.04 runs per game in September, over one run more per game than any other team (Dodgers, 5.90).

 Marcell Ozuna had two home runs and went 7-for-15 in the four games against Miami. After hitting .276 in August, he's now hitting .376 in September -- his .100 increase is the largest among any player with at least 100 PA in each month.

 Kyle Wright threw 6.1 shutout innings against the Mets on Sunday, his second straight win after going 0-4 in his first five starts. Wright had a career-high six strikeouts against the Mets, surpassing the five he had against them earlier this season. He has not had more than four strikeouts in any other game in his career.

Jackie Bradley Jr. has known only one big league uniform, and he may be wearing it for the last time when the Boston Red Sox close the season against the host Atlanta Braves on Sunday.
Bradley is eligible for free agency after the season, and there have been no substantial discussions about a return.

Boston's Bradley unsure of future beyond finale in Atlanta

ATLANTA (AP)  Jackie Bradley Jr. homered and made a leaping catch as the last-place Boston Red Sox won their final game under manager Ron Roenicke, beating the playoff-bound Atlanta Braves 9-1 Sunday.
The NL East champion Braves wound up as the No. 2 seed and will face Cincinnati in a best-of-three playoff series starting Wednesday. All games will be played in Atlanta.
