 Texas won two of three games against the Mariners at home from August 10-12. The teams split 10 meetings in Seattle last year, 5-5, with the Rangers averaging 6.9 runs to the Mariners' 5.2.

 The Rangers have lost a season-high five straight games, the last four coming against San Diego. They gave up 34 runs (8.5 per game) and 11 home runs (2.8 per game) in those four games, including a grand slam in each game -- the first team ever to allow a grand slam in four straight.

 Seattle's 8-19 record ties the worst in franchise history through 27 games in a season (also 1978 and 1979). The Mariners' -53 run differential ranks last in the majors.

 Nearly 60 percent of Joey Gallo's plate appearances this year (58.3 percent) have resulted in one of the "three true outcomes" -- a home run (7), walk (16) or strikeout (33). Among batting title qualifiers, only the Twins' Miguel Sano has a higher such percentage (63.0).

Rangers to meet Mariners with bullpen on fumes

SEATTLE (AP)  Rookie Evan White doubled and homered in his first two at-bats and finished with a career-high six RBIs, Kyle Lewis added three more hits to his AL-leading total and the Seattle Mariners beat the Texas Rangers 10-1 on Saturday night.
White had a two-run double to cap Seattle's three-run first inning, and added the final big blow of the night to Texas starter Jordan Lyles with a three-run shot in the third for his fifth homer of the season.
