 Cleveland swept a three-game set with the Tigers in Detroit last weekend and has won 20 straight games in the series going back to last April. That's the longest win streak by any MLB team against a divisional opponent in the divisional era (since 1969), and the longest by Cleveland against any team all-time.

 The Indians have outscored their opponents 35-15 during their current six-game win streak. They lead the majors with a 2.50 ERA -- the lowest by the Indians through 25 games in a season since 1972 (2.27).

 The Tigers have lost nine in a row after opening the season 9-5, matching the longest losing streak in MLB this year (Red Sox). Detroit's starting pitchers have an 11.20 ERA (39/31.1) over the nine games.

 Miguel Cabrera has 46 home runs and 156 RBI in his career against Cleveland. That's the second-most RBI by an active player against any opponent, behind Albert Pujols' 171 RBI versus Houston.

 Franmil Reyes is hitting .385 with a 1.124 OPS with runners on base this year, compared to .229 with a .643 OPS with the bases empty. He went 5-for-11 with three homers and five RBI in last weekend's three games against Detroit.

The Detroit Tigers look to further distance themselves from two gaudy losing streaks when they face the host Cleveland Indians again on Saturday.
The Tigers rode the momentum of a seven-run fourth inning to a 10-5 victory over the Indians in the opener of a three-game series on Friday. The win snapped a nine-game skid overall for Detroit, as well as a string of 20 consecutive setbacks against Cleveland dating back to a 4-1 triumph on April 10, 2019.

Losing streaks over, Tigers try to top Indians again

CLEVELAND (AP)  Triston McKenzie struck out 10 in his major league debut and Domingo Santana delivered a bases-clearing double in the sixth, lifting the Cleveland Indians to a 6-1 win over the Detroit Tigers on Saturday night.
McKenzie (1-0) went six innings, allowing two hits on a Willi Castro homer and a Jeimer Candelario double. The 23-year-old right-hander notched his first strikeout on three pitches to future Hall of Famer Miguel Cabrera in the first.
