 This will be the first meetings between Arizona and San Francisco this season. Almost one-third of the remaining schedules for the Diamondbacks (10 of last 34) and the Giants (10 of last 33) will be against one another.

 2018 No. 2 overall pick catcher Joey Bart made his major-league debut last night and checked in with a sixth-inning double. He also got to catch 184 pitches from five different Giants hurlers. Last night was Bart's first game above AA. He played 22 games for Double-A Richmond in 2019.

 Robbie Ray has had a tough start to his season, but on Sunday versus San Diego he threw five innings and allowed just one run. The good news was that he didn't even allow a single hit, the bad news was that he walked six (for the second time this season) and now leads the majors with 20 bases on balls in just 22.0 innings of work.

The San Francisco Giants will attempt to extend their season high three-game winning streak Friday night when they host the Arizona Diamondbacks in the opener of a three-game series at Oracle Park.
The Giants won the final three games of a four-game series against the Los Angeles Angels, including a 10-5 win in Thursday's finale, and are 5-6  in 11 home games this season. They're in last place in the National League West as they get set to face the Diamondbacks for the first time this season.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP)  Evan Longoria hit his 300th home run, Wilmer Flores added a two-run shot and the San Francisco Giants beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 6-2 on Friday night.
Logan Webb (2-2) struck out eight in seven innings as the Giants won their fourth straight. Mike Yastrzemski had two hits and scored twice for San Francisco. Brandon Crawford and Joey Bart both drove in runs.
