 Since 2018, 25 of the 42 meetings between the Giants and the Dodgers have been decided by one or two runs, most of any series over that span. San Francisco is 15-10 against Los Angeles in those games, compared to 3-14 in games decided by three or more runs.

 Donovan Solano has an 11-game hitting streak, one shy of his career long (August 2012). Solano's .465 batting average is the highest by a Giants player through his first 12 games in a season since Barry Bonds in 2004 (.500, minimum 35 PA).

 Joc Pederson hit three home runs in the Dodgers' three-game series at San Diego, including two on Wednesday. Pederson's 15 career multi-homer games are fourth most by a Dodger since the team moved to Los Angeles in 1958, trailing only Mike Piazza (19), Shawn Green (18) and Eric Karros (17).

 Julio Urias has a 1.40 ERA in 13 career outings (seven starts) against the Giants, but he has yet to earn a win. Urias has received a total of nine runs of support in those games, just five of which have come in his seven starts.
