 The Dodgers enter this final series with a chance to match or exceed the franchise season record of 105 wins set in 1953. That 1953 team also holds the franchise record with a +266 run differential. This year's team owns the second-highest total at +255.

 The Giants will finish with a winning record on the road and a losing mark at home for the first time since moving to San Francisco in 1958. Their .449 winning percentage at Oracle Park this season is the club's lowest at home since the 1984 team went a franchise-worst 35-46 (.432).

 Corey Seager's 22 RBI in September are tied with Paul Goldschmidt for the most among NL players this month, and he enters the series slashing .459/.487/.784 during a season-high 10-game hitting streak. Seager drove in only 23 runs in 45 games between July and August.

 Evan Longoria's home run against the Rockies on Tuesday gave the Giants three players with 20 or more homers for the first time since 2006. They had been the only team not to have had three players reach that number in any of the previous four seasons.

 In Friday's opener, Walker Buehler will attempt to become the first Dodgers pitcher to win his first four career starts against the Giants since Don Drysdale won his first five from 1956-57. All three of Buehler's previous starts vs. San Francisco have been on the road, including a 1-0 victory on June 9 in which he threw seven scoreless innings.

 Madison Bumgarner is slated to start Sunday's finale in what could be the impending free agent's final start at Oracle Park in a Giants uniform. Bumgarner is 5-0 with a 2.39 ERA over his last 12 home starts. The last Giants pitcher to go unbeaten in 13 straight home starts in a single season was Hall of Famer Gaylord Perry in 1966.

SAN FRANCISCO (AP)  Walker Buehler had been disappointed in his last two starts. So, he adjusted his delivery and it helped him get his 14th win.
Cody Bellinger hit his 47th homer, Buehler pitched five solid innings, and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants 9-2 on Friday night.
