The Nationals and Braves will play for the second series this season after the Nationals won two games in late May. The Braves are 14-4 in the month of June, best in MLB, while the Nats are 12-5, second best.

The Braves have scored at least 10 runs in five games this month and are averaging 7.39 runs per game. That's on pace for the highest scoring average by an NL team in any calendar month (minimum 15 games) since April 1962, when St. Louis scored 7.81 runs per contest.

There has been a lot of excitement at Nationals Park this week, and that will continue on Friday when the Atlanta Braves begin a three-game series against the Washington Nationals.
The Braves will start veteran left-handed pitcher Dallas Keuchel, who was signed by the club two weeks ago on a one-year, $13 million contract after going unsigned through free agency, spring training and the early portion of the regular season. Washington plans to start Stephen Strasburg (7-4, 3.75 ERA), who is coming off a rough start.

Keuchel set to debut as Braves visit Nationals

WASHINGTON (AP)  Dallas Keuchel enjoyed being back on the mound after than a longer-than-expected wait between major league starts. He would have been happier if a three-run lead hadn't slipped away.
Keuchel labored through five innings in his Atlanta debut, coughing up that 3-0 lead as the Braves lost 4-3 to the Washington Nationals on Friday night.
