 After losing their first game of the season on March 28, the Rangers have bounced back to win four of their next five games. Texas has a 1.098 OPS with runners in scoring position this season, the best mark in the majors early on.

 The Angels lost five of six games on the road against Oakland and Seattle to open the season. As a team, the Angels are batting .178 (34-for-191) on the season, the lowest batting average through six games in franchise history.

Felix Pena will start for the Los Angeles Angels Friday against the Texas Rangers, but exactly which Pena shows up is anybody's guess.
To this point in his career, Pena's success is a hit-or-miss proposition, and it usually has something to do with his breaking ball. In his first start of the season last Saturday against Oakland, he was sharp to begin the game, retiring the first eight batters he faced, including three by strikeout.

The Los Angeles Angels outfielder, who received his Silver Slugger award before Friday's game against the Texas Rangers, hit two home runs in a 3-1 victory that snapped a five-game losing streak.
