Washington had a three-game win streak snapped on Wednesday in Philadelphia, 8-6, falling to 67-67 on the season. It's the 24th time they've had a record of exactly .500 this year, tied with the Giants for the most in the majors.

WASHINGTON -- The Milwaukee Brewers will have several new faces when they meet the Washington Nationals in Game 2 of their series on Saturday, though one is familiar with Nationals Park.
The Brewers made trades before, during and after their 4-1 win over the Nationals on Friday night. Milwaukee acquired outfielder Curtis Granderson from the Toronto Blue Jays, relief pitcher Xavier Cedeno from the Chicago White Sox and starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez from their hosts, the Nationals, all for minor leaguers.

Brewers bolster roster during series with Nationals

WASHINGTON (AP)  Juan Soto had another big hit in his impressive rookie season, though it came long after most of the Nationals Park crowd had gone home.
Soto's two-run single highlighted a four-run eighth inning and the Washington Nationals rallied past the Milwaukee Brewers for a 5-4 win in a game that was delayed 1 hour, 57 minutes by rain in the top of the eighth and ended well past midnight.
