The Indians enter this series having won three of four games, including an 8-1 victory yesterday against Detroit in which they recorded 16 hits. It was the 12th game this season in which Cleveland has notched at least 15 hits, tied with the Cubs for the most such games in 2018.

After a three-game sweep of the Blue Jays, the Twins lost three of four games at Boston, being outscored 18-9. The nine runs were the fewest scored in a four-game series by Minnesota this season.

Gibson (5-7, 3.42 ERA) has been among the Minnesota Twins' more consistent performers this season and with two more seasons of team control, he's been an attractive target for contenders looking to bolster their rotations for a stretch run.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP)  Trevor Bauer is his own toughest critic - even when victorious.
The Cleveland right-hander had some choice words to describe his performance Tuesday against Minnesota. Though Bauer struggled by his standards, he pitched deep enough to help the Indians beat the Twins by a 6-2 final.
