This will be the latest into a season that the Yankees and Red Sox will be facing off with the two best records in MLB since 1978, in the AL East tie-breaker game in which Bucky Dent hit one of the Yankees' most iconic home runs all-time.

Among active pitchers with at least 50.0 career innings against the Yankees, Rodriguez's 2.70 ERA ranks fourth, behind only Chris Sale, Corey Kluber, and Dallas Keuchel.

In his last seven games, J.D. Martinez is slashing .448/.500/.897 with five multi-hit games, 11 runs scored, seven extra-base hits, and nine RBI. He is MLB's leader in 2018 with 25 home runs and 64 RBI.
