Minnesota and Cleveland will face off for the third series of 2018 after the Twins took four of the six games. Minnesota won six of nine in Cleveland last season, holding the Indians to just 2.89 runs per game.

The Indians return for a nine-game homestand, having won seven consecutive games at Progressive Field. They rank first in MLB in runs per game (5.84), batting average (.282) and on-base percentage (.350) at home this season.

The Twins haven't won a series since their win against the Indians from May 31-June 3. They scored 29 combined runs in that series but have scored just 35 total runs in the 10 games since then.

Eduardo Escobar has recorded a hit in 13 of his last 15 games, including nine multi-hit games. He is tied for the MLB lead in extra-base hits in June (13) and is second in RBI (16; Evan Gattis -- 18).

Francisco Lindor hit his 15th home run of the season on Thursday following an 11-game home run drought. He is the third Indians player to reach 15 dingers on the season (also J. Ramirez & E. Encarnacion), most such players in MLB.

Corey Kluber has recorded quality starts in each of his 14 appearances this season. Only six other pitchers have recorded 15 quality starts through 15 starts since WWII and four of them won the Cy Young award.

CLEVELAND -- With Cleveland's pitching staff in chaos, the Indians will try to regroup Sunday and avoid a three-game sweep by the Minnesota Twins.
Minnesota has won the first two games of the series while roughing up Cleveland's top two starting pitchers, Corey Kluber and Carlos Carrasco. The Twins have won five in a row against their American League Central rivals, outscoring the Indians 36-16.
