Houston swept the two-game series against the Giants and have now won 11 of the last 14. The Astros have a 1.66 ERA since May 7, by far the lowest in MLB since then (Phillies are second with a 2.61 ERA).

The Indians took both games against the Cubs at Wrigley Field, outscoring the Cubs 11-1. After hitting .231 as a team in April, the Indians are hitting .273 in May, the largest improvement (0.42) from April to May in MLB.

In his last start against the Indians, Charlie Morton went seven innings and allowed one run while striking out eight. Morton is third in the AL in ERA (1.94) and opponent batting average (.173) behind his two teammates, Justin Verlander and Gerrit Cole (among qualifiers for the ERA title).

George Springer homered against the Giants on Wednesday in the win. He is the first Astro to have 10 doubles, 10 home runs, and 30 RBI in the first 50 team games of the season since Lance Berkman and Carlos Lee in 2008.

Francisco Lindor had two hits in each game against the Cubs. He has 19 multi-hit games this season, tied for the fifth most in MLB.

Michael Brantley provided the only run in Cleveland's 1-0 win versus the Cubs on Wednesday. Brantley is on a 12-game hitting streak, the longest active streak in MLB.

CLEVELAND -- The more the Cleveland Indians think they're making progress in stabilizing their bullpen, the more unsettled the bullpen gets.
Saturday, a day after Cleveland's two top relievers, closer Cody Allen and Andrew Miller combined to give up four runs in two innings while helping to turn a 2-0 Indians lead into an 11-2 loss, the Indians made four roster moves, all of them involving relief pitchers.
