Cleveland has won 11 consecutive games against the Angels, the second-longest active winning streak for a team against any opponent (Angels have won 12 consecutive games versus the Phillies). During that winning streak, Cleveland is hitting .450 (49-for-109) with runners in scoring position.

The Angels took three of four against the Athletics in a series that was capped off by Shohei Ohtani's first MLB win. The last time the Angels won three of four to begin the year was in 2008 when the team finished 100-62.

Corey Kluber and Tyler Skaggs were sharp in their season debuts last week, and they'll try to pick up where they left off when the Los Angeles Angels host the Cleveland Indians in the rubber match of their three-game series at Angel Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Kluber (0-1, 2.25 ERA) threw an eight-inning complete game for the Indians (2-3) on Thursday, but was outdone by a half-dozen pitchers for the Seattle Mariners, who combined to allow one run and five hits in the 2-1 victory.

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP)  Shohei Ohtani really didn't think his long drive to center field at Angel Stadium would get out of the park, so he sprinted around first base while it soared over the fence for his second homer in two days.
Ohtani made the same sprint with the same thoughts one day earlier, when his first big league homer also surprised him by flying over the wall.
