The Dodgers went 7-2 against the Diamondbacks at home last season and won the last four of those contests. Arizona was held to three or fewer runs in each of those four games.

At 7-3, the Diamondbacks have reversed their record through their first 10 games from what it was last season (3-7). One big reason for this is that Arizona's current team ERA (3.78) is nearly two runs lower than it was through its first 10 contests in 2016 (5.63).

LOS ANGELES -- Good friends and former teammates square off Friday when the Arizona Diamondbacks open a four-game series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Former Dodger right-hander Zack Greinke (1-0, 2.31 ERA) will face Los Angeles ace Clayton Kershaw (1-1, 3.46 ERA) for the first time in the opening game at Dodger Stadium. Greinke pitched three seasons for the Dodgers before bolting to the Diamondbacks as a free agent last year.
