The Indians and Diamondbacks last met in 2014, when they twice split a pair of two-game series. After going 2-4 against Arizona through 2003, the Indians are 7-3 versus the Diamondbacks ever since.

The Indians are coming off a three-game sweep of the Rangers at Texas when Cleveland twice scored at least eight runs and averaged seven runs per game overall. It's the first time the Indians have opened 3-0 since they won six in a row to begin 1998.

The Diamondbacks have been outscored by seven runs through the first three innings of games, the worst mark in MLB. But they lead the majors with 26 runs scored from the fourth inning on, with a +12 run differential that is tied with Cleveland for the best in baseball.

Indians look to even series with Diamondbacks

PHOENIX (AP)  David Peralta sparked yet another rally for the Diamondbacks, and Arizona rolled to its latest comeback win.
Peralta hit a go-ahead solo homer in the sixth inning and Arizona got its fifth come-from-behind victory in six games to start the season, beating the Cleveland Indians 11-2 on Saturday night.
