VIDEO: Messi's 'spectacular exhibition' for Barca B in 2004-05

On Saturday, Barca B, Barcelona's reserve team, will take on Espanyol B, Espanyol's reserve team, in something of a second-class Catalan derby.

Believe it or not, the last time Barca B defeated Espanyol B was in 2004-05, when Lionel Messi, then unknown to most of the football universe, produced a phenomenal performance, leaving his opponents for dead with the footwork and individual runs for which he eventually became known across the planet.

Ahead of the Segunda Division B fixture, Barcelona uploaded the rare footage of that match from 11 years ago.
