Athletic Bilbao's Aduriz signs extension until 2017
Aritz Aduriz, the poster boy for football in Basque Country, is one step closer to closing out his career at the San Mames.
The prolific scorer inked a contract extension with Athletic Bilbao on Thursday that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2017, when he'll be 36 years old.

Aduriz has showed that age is just a number this season, as he's tallied four goals and one assist through seven La Liga appearances.
Since he returned to Athletic three years ago, Aduriz has averaged more than 15 goals per campaign in the top flight of Spanish football. Perhaps more important, however, were the four goals he scored in this year's Supercopa de Espana, where the Basque club stunned Barcelona 5-1 on aggregate to claim its first title in 31 years.
