Teenager Marco Asensio joins Espanyol on season-long loan from Real Madrid

Teenage phenom Marco Asensio will be spending the 2015-16 La Liga season at Estadi Cornella-El Prat.
Espanyol reached an agreement with Real Madrid on Thursday that will see the 19-year-old join the Catalan club on a season-long loan. The deal will be completed Friday, after he travels to Barcelona and passes a medical.

Asensio joined Real Madrid from Mallorca on a six-year deal back in December, but spent the rest of last season with the Segunda Division club. He then featured at the Under-19 European Championship, tallying two goals and two assists to help Spain capture its seventh title.
