Martin Odegaard schooled on Twitter by world chess champion
Norwegian sensation Martin Odegaard is living the dream.
Still only 16 years old, the attacking midfielder - heralded as the next great talent in world football - has already completed a transfer to arguably the biggest club in the world (Real Madrid) and is training on a regular basis alongside the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale.
He also holds the record as the youngest player in football history to ever feature in a European Championship match - appearing in a Euro 2016 qualifying tilt against Bulgaria back in October.
For anybody, that kind of success can get to your head. Let alone someone who isn't old enough to purchase alcohol or drive a car.
Thankfully, one of his compatriots is here to ensure that the teenage phenom's ego doesn't get out of control.
After Odegaard posted a photo on his official Instagram account that showed him playing chess with national teammate Mats Daehli, reigning world chess champion Magnus Carlsen spotted a mistake on the board.
The No. 1-ranked chess player on the planet called him out on it, too.
You guys set up the board wrong @martinio98 & #MatsDaehli #inexcusable pic.twitter.com/G2DmdBReeb

Don't put the King and Queen on the wrong squares, kid. People are watching.
When Odegaard is winning Ballon d'Or trophies in the future, he'll look back on this moment and remember it fondly as a humbling experience that kept him in check.
Or something like that.
