On-loan Villarreal forward Joel Campbell signs new long-term deal with Arsenal

Arsenal confirmed the departure of Costa Rican forward Joel Campbell on a season-long loan to Villarreal on Wednesday, but not before making a separate announcement pertaining to the 22-year-old's future with the club.

Terms of the new contract were not disclosed, with the Gunners simply describing the deal as "long-term."
Campbell made only ten appearances (three starts) with Arsenal this season, and figures to see significantly more time in La Liga for the remainder of the campaign.
