VIDEO: Benzema's trickery sets up Ronaldo for easy tap-in
Reuters
A pair of goals from Cristiano Ronaldo and one from Gareth Bale helped Real Madrid defeat Getafe 3-0 on Sunday, getting the club back into the win column and putting them four points clear at the top of the table.
As is the case, the world's two most expensive footballers garnered all the attention, while fellow attacker Karim Benzema was little more than an afterthought.
As usual, given the Frenchman's contribution, his lack of recognition is unfair. Without Benzema, at least one of Ronaldo's goals on the day would not exist.
The Rodney Dangerfield of Real Madrid just keeps getting the job done.
