Blood was shed in the first half of Barcelona's fixture versus Atletico Madrid on Sunday.
Only moments after he opened the scoring, Neymar was on the receiving end of a vicious challenge from Jose Gimenez, who lunged at the Brazilian phenom with his studs facing upwards.
The challenge, which unbelievably went unpunished, forced Neymar to temporarily exit the pitch and soaked his white socks with blood.
