Karim Benzema and Raphael Varane likely to miss Real Madrid's next La Liga match
Carlo Ancelotti might be without two important components this weekend when Real Madrid take on Levante after the manager indicated that Karim Benzema and Raphael Varane are in danger of missing the match due to illness.
"We had a problem this morning with Varane and Benzema, who woke up with a fever," Ancelotti said, as transcribed by the Agence France-Presse.
"I don't think they'll be available for tomorrow (Saturday)."
The AFP suggests forward Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez could make his first start for Real Madrid if Benzema's condition doesn't improve, meanwhile the Champions League title holders have numerous options on defence who can fill the void if Varane can't play.
Sergio Ramos, however, likely won't play as he continues to battle a calf strain that forced him to withdraw from the Spanish squad during the country's Euro 2016 qualifiers on Oct. 6.
