In a scene that is all too familiar, Lionel Messi opened the scoring in Barcelona's fixture versus Rayo Vallecano on Saturday with his sixth goal of the season.

After having a goal disallowed three minutes earlier, Messi received an excellent aerial from Gerard Pique - who certainly deserves praise for his quick reaction skills on the play - and proceeded to head the ball down before chipping it over Toño with his second touch:
