Roberto, a 22-year-old Masia product who was born in Reus, Catalonia, was previously signed with Barcelona until June 30, 2015, meaning his new deal is a four-year extension.
A release clause is included in the fresh €30-million contract, although it could rise to €40 million.
Since making his debut during the 2011-12 season, Roberto has featured in 21 La Liga matches, 17 Champions League fixtures and 12 Copa del Rey games.
