In one of the biggest moves on the final day of the transfer window, Alvaro Negredo is heading to Valencia on a season-long loan from Manchester City.

Curiously, Valencia's official statement claims that they have the option to purchase Negredo at the end of his loan period, while City's official statement says that the Spanish club have an obligation to do so. Either way, the 29-year-old's time at the Etihad Stadium is likely over, although he'll leave City supporters with good memories of the nine goals and three assists he notched in the club's championship campaign in 2013-14.
Negredo, who has yet to make any appearances this season after breaking a bone in his foot over the summer, will be officially unveiled by Valencia on Tuesday at the Camp de Mestalla.
