Manchester United emerged with a 3-1 victory over Real Madrid in the International Champions Cup final Saturday in front of a record-setting crowd at Michigan Stadium.
The 109,318-person throng eclipsed the U.S. record for attendance at a soccer match set at the 1984 Olympic final when 101,799 people filled the Rose Bowl to watch France topple Brazil.
The Big House staged two first-half goals from United winger Ashley Young, and another from substitute Javier Hernandez, but the biggest cheers came when Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo was substituted onto the pitch with 17 minutes remaining.
The Red Devils will now travel to Miami to play Liverpool in the tournament's final match.
