Girona boss Sanchez feels 'fine' despite being hospitalized
Girona coach Michel Sanchez was hospitalised on Friday under doctors' orders and will miss the La Liga clash with Villarreal on Saturday, his Spanish club announced.
Sanchez, 49, "is under medical observation as a precaution", Girona reported.
"He is receiving appropriate care and we hope for his recovery in the next few days," the club lying 15th in the league added.
Sanchez, posting on social media, revealed: "After listening to the doctors I have to rest for a few days to recover and return as soon as possible.
"I feel fine, under medical supervision, and I'm counting the days to return to work and continue our fight until the end of the season."
Sanchez guided Girona to a first ever Champions League qualification last season with a third place finish in La Liga.
This term, with four days of the season to go, the Catalan club are hovering just above the relegation zone.
