The Croatian midfielder picked out substitute Rodrygo with a sublime outside-of-the-foot ball, and the Brazilian slotted it home on the volley. The goal knotted the encounter at four apiece on aggregate.

Karim Benzema went on to score the decisive goal in extra time, sending Real Madrid to the semifinals courtesy of a 5-4 aggregate triumph.
