Needing two tallies to become the first player ever to reach the 100-goal plateau in UEFA club competition, Cristiano Ronaldo mustered his most ineffectual attacking display of the season on Tuesday.
While Los Blancos emerged with a 2-1 win over Ronaldo's former club, Sporting Lisbon, the Portuguese megastar was not only unable to find the net, he didn't even produce an effort on target.

Ronaldo, who has eight goals in La Liga this season after his hat-trick on the weekend against Atletico, has found the net just twice in Europe's marquee competition this season.
