Barcelona's Pique, Alba to miss at least 2 weeks with injuries
Barcelona's victory over Manchester City came at a price after the Spanish side saw two defenders leave the match with injuries.
The Spanish giants will be without the services of Gerard Pique until November after he picked up an ankle injury during Wednesday's Champions League win.
The Spanish side confirmed that Pique, who attempted to play through the injury before leaving during the first half, sustained ligament damage in his right ankle and is expected to be sidelined for up to three weeks.
His expected recovery time could force him to miss Barcelona's trip to Manchester for the return leg on Nov. 1.
Meanwhile, Jordi Alba, who also hobbled off the pitch in the first half, will need two weeks to recover after suffering a strained left hamstring.
Lucas Digne could see a boost in playing time with Alba on the sidelines, while Jeremy Mathieu, who was sent off Wednesday after picking up two yellows, could feature at centre-back in Pique's absence.
