Ronaldo returns to Real Madrid training after lengthy absence
Consider this your warning, La Liga defenders. Cristiano Ronaldo is back.
The Real Madrid star, sidelined since suffering a knee injury in the Euro 2016 final, made his triumphant return to full training Monday. If his celebratory tweet is any indication, the sculpted 31-year-old hasn't let his physique slip during his absence.
Ronaldo didn't join up with his Portuguese teammates for the international window as he worked towards recovering from his ailment, and missed Los Blancos' opening two matches of the La Liga campaign.
His return to training could see manager Zinedine Zidane regain the services of his talisman for Saturday's contest against Osasuna, in which the Spanish powerhouse will look to make it three wins from as many matches to open the campaign.
