Chalk up another record for Cristiano Ronaldo. And he didn't even have to score to get this one. All he had to do was get on the pitch.
The Portuguese forward became the all-time leader in European Championship appearances, earning his 17th tournament cap by starting the Seleccao's Group F contest against Hungary on Wednesday.
Heading into the match, the 31-year-old attacker shared the record with Lilian Thuram (France) and Edwin van der Sar (Netherlands).
The appearance marks the 800th of Ronaldo's career for club and country, in which time he has plundered an incredible 545 goals.
