Luka Modric is the latest player to check into Real Madrid's treatment room after he was ruled out of Sunday's encounter against Valencia because of a muscle injury.
The Croatia international was a late scratch from the squad a day after manager Zinedine Zidane revealed the 20 players available to play at the Santiago Bernabeu.
The Spanish side announced that his removal from the squad is a precautionary measure.
Either Isco, Mateo Kovacic, or James Rodriguez will replace Modric in the starting team.
Modric joins injured Real Madrid teammates Gareth Bale (knee) and Keylor Navas (Achilles) in the stands.
