Dani Carvajal urges fans to get behind Real Madrid: 'On Tuesday it'll be a war'
Dani Carvajal is speaking out against the toxic environment at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Following Real Madrid's 4-0 La Liga thrashing versus SD Eibar on Saturday, Carvajal addressed the need for supporters to rally around Los Blancos ahead of the second leg of their tie against VfL Wolfsburg in the Champions League's quarter-finals.
During the fixture between Real Madrid and Eibar, Danilo was subjected to a chorus of boos stemming from his performance at Wolfsburg three days ago in which he was caught out of position more than once.
"On Tuesday it'll be a war," Carvajal said, according to Marca. "It'll be 80,000 of us against Wolfsburg. The whistles (against Danilo) were unjust. Against Wolfsburg, we all played badly. If you whistle a teammate, you whistle all of us. We hope that on Tuesday people will change their whistles to applause, and support us."
Carvajal started for Real Madrid against Eibar and was replaced by Danilo in the 63rd minute.
