Roma secure Mayoral on 2-year loan from Real Madrid
Spanish striker Borja Mayoral has joined Roma on a two-year loan from Real Madrid, the Italian side confirmed Friday.
Mayoral enlists with the Giallorossi in an agreement that includes a permanent €15-million buy option. The fee will rise to €20 million during the 2021-22 season.
The 23-year-old has also penned a contract through 2025 should Roma exercise either option.
"I am pleased to finally join. It has been a hectic few days, but the main thing is everything has worked out for the best," Mayoral said.
He added: "It's an honor for me to represent a historic club like Roma. I am grateful to the club for the faith they have shown; I will give everything for this club and I hope to make our fans proud."
Mayoral spent the last two seasons with Levante, scoring 11 goals in 63 La Liga contests.
