A Milan hospital called in military personnel to calm down Inter Milan's Marcelo Brozovic on Thursday, sources told ESPN's Andrew Cesare Richardson.
The Croatian midfielder reportedly took a 42-year-old compatriot to the facility and became panicked as his friend continued to lose blood while awaiting care for a leg injury.
Brozovic apparently insisted his friend be seen before other patients in the waiting room, but staff denied his request and requested police support under hospital protocol. The 27-year-old remained in an agitated state, prompting intervention from military personnel, Richardson reports.
It's understood Brozovic calmed down when told he could face serious repercussions if his conduct and demands continued. He reportedly apologized and waited for hospital staff to attend to his friend.
A World Cup finalist with Croatia in 2018, Brozovic recently had his driver's license revoked for drunk driving.
