Juventus supporters making the trip to the Stadio Marcantonio Bentegodi on Saturday are in for a treat.

The seven-time reigning Scudetto champions open their Serie A campaign with a visit to Chievo and manager Max Allegri confirmed that the Old Lady's new prized asset will make his debut.

"(Cristiano) Ronaldo is playing tomorrow," Allegri told reporters, courtesy of the club's official website.

Juve's €100-million man made the shock move to Serie A in the summer following a celebrated nine-year tenure with Real Madrid. The 33-year-old won nearly every individual and team accolade imaginable, including four Champions League crowns in a five-year window.

"We can't say that this is 'the year of the Champions League'. Since I arrived it has always been 'the year of the Scudetto, the Coppa Italia, and the Champions League,'" Allegri admitted. "Every year, Juventus plays to win all the trophies available, and in the past four years we have twice come close to winning all the trophies in which we have competed for, and this year we'll try again."

The Champions League is the one conquest that continues to elude Allegri's grasp and the likable tactician admits that the coming season is about more than capturing Europe's marquee prize.

"You never know: this could be our year to win the Champions League, but first we need to get past the group stage and then we'll see where we are in March."
