Report: PSG's Lavezzi to snub Chelsea in favour of move to China
China is reportedly close to prying yet another player away from Europe, as Ezequiel Lavezzi has become the latest player connected with a move to Asia.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward, whose contract expires at the conclusion of the Ligue 1 season, is being pursued by Chinese Super League outfit Guoan Beijing, sources revealed to ESPNFC.
Guoan Beijing is apparently eager to add the Argentine before the league's transfer window closes later in the month.
Judging by the way Chinese Super League clubs have splashed around their cash this winter, Guoan Beijing might also be prepared to offer a more lucrative deal than Premier League side Chelsea - who, according to reports, had previously expressed an interest in the 30-year-old.
Chinese clubs have dished out massive transfer fees over the last month to acquire the likes of Jackson Martinez from Atletico Madrid, Ramires from Chelsea, Gervinho from Roma, and Fredy Guarin from Inter Milan. The four players reportedly cost their new Chinese outfits close to €80 million combined.
Lavezzi is expected to be the cheapest of the bunch, as ESPNFC's source reports Guoan Beijing is expected to offer €6 million for his services.
