Sedan - The coach of the France team that won Euro 2000, Roger Lemerre, has returned to management in his home country after being appointed on Wednesday by third-tier Sedan.
Now 74, Lemerre has not worked since leaving Tunisian side Etoile du Sahel in 2014.
Lemerre succeeded Aime Jacquet as France coach following their 1998 World Cup triumph and led Les Bleus to further glory at the European Championship in Belgium and the Netherlands.
He was sacked after a disappointing showing at the 2002 World Cup.
Lemerre previously played for Sedan, two-time French Cup winners who were in the top flight as recently as 2007.
